I'm soo glad you're here! I am Emma the photographer here with erd.photography (and your personal hype gal). I'm located in Halifax, Nova Scotia and currently use an at home studio space. I started helping with the confidence building journey back in 2018, and since then have helped over 100 amazing humans see themselves in those precious little moments. I myself always have struggled with my body image. Where it got to the point I would purposely exclude myself from events and activities, all to avoid being seen. I started to photograph myself a lot in my spare room "studio", and that is truly when my passion had quickly turned. I went full force into showing humans how beautiful, strong and deserving of living a full life they are.

I strive to provide a judgement free zone to all, just a space for you to come and express your eccentric side. A space where all bodies are welcomed, valued and respected. I take a lot of pride in being a supporter for you through this experience, to help reclaim your views on your body and see how worthy you are!

When I'm not working, you can find me snuggled up on my couch binge watching The Office, plus all the reality tv shows there are... literary all them. Always with my 3 beautiful babies (fur babies, so lot's of spice included). I am a huge home body, but I do venture out sometimes to go to do some exploring of our beautiful world. Seeing all the waterfalls here in Nova Scotia is a huge goal for me, with stops at all the abandoned locations along the way. I'm also super passionate about being creative and exploring new crafts and hobbies, one day I'll be making lip gloss then learning to make a vegetable garden the next. Get ready for bad jokes and random dancing of excitement, because I am excited already!

Let me explain a photoshop free studio - This does not mean you will receive a raw image, I still will use my editing service to apply the tones that fit my style and mood taken from the shoot. I will still edit out pimples and bruises - those things that are not a forever thing. But cellulite, acne scaring, stretch marks, they are the things that are there with us all for a reason, all these things connect us and help create individuality among us. Above to the left is a image you will receive from me, showing all the beautiful grooves, curves, colors and textures of you - To the right here is the same image edited in a way that would "fit in" more to the society norm. Our skin is the largest organ on the body and not only helps tells our stories, but helps us make connections too. I'm here to show you, how you look, right now. To help break this curve that you need to look a certain way, let's take this leap together and just NORMALIZE NORMAL BODIES.
